FATEDLY is a beta matchmaking service operated by FATEDLY LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17445256).

For the purposes of UK data protection law, FATEDLY LTD is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this Privacy Policy.

2.2 Friends' email addresses (referrals)

If you invite friends, you give us their university email addresses. We use each address only to send a single invitation email, and we do not use it for anything else. If they do not join, the address is not added to any marketing list.

2.3 Sensitive personal data

Depending on what you choose to provide, this may include information revealing your sexual orientation or identity-related preferences. We only process this data with your explicit consent.

2.4 Automatically collected data

When you use our website we may collect IP address, device and browser information, general location (city level), and usage data.

3. How we use your birth details

Your date, time and place of birth are used to compute your 紫微斗数 (Zi Wei Dou Shu) birth chart. The chart is one of the inputs our matching process uses, alongside your profile and preferences. Your birth details and chart are never shown publicly and are never shared with other users.

Improving the service and matching quality, understanding usage, and keeping the platform safe. These interests do not override your rights.

5. How we share your data

5.1 With your match

When we introduce you to a match, we share with them: your name, your university, your profile photo, and a short compatibility summary. The contact detail you chose to share (such as a WeChat ID) is shared only if both of you choose to connect. We share nothing else.

5.2 Service providers

Trusted providers that support our service: hosting and database infrastructure, email delivery, and analytics. They process data only on our instructions.

5.3 Legal and safety purposes

We may share data where necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect users, or prevent harm or misuse.

6. International data transfers

Some of our team and service providers are located outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as contractual protections and internal access controls.

Our service is only for users aged 18 and over.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will notify users of significant changes.
